A particular highlight was the in-depth discussion on how we can actively shape the transition to the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). In a panel session, Dr. Axel Heinrich (Volkswagen), WenLi Wang (NIO), Dr. Kai Hoffmann (Daimler Truck AG), and Swen Postels (AWS) shared their perspectives from industry, research, and international markets. These ideas were then discussed openly in a dialogue.
The connect 2025 event also offered a strong technical program. Over 40 sessions and presentations in the plenary covered a wide range of topics. As always, the majority of the presentations came from within our own ranks, from colleagues who shared their experiences, insights, and ideas. Because connect is a format created by us for us, organized entirely in-house – with a lot of passion and expertise.
And our format has also evolved: with the new Synergy Forum, we have deliberately created new space for cross-divisional exchange – interactive, open, and on an equal footing.
Our tracetronic spirit was also particularly noticeable outside the sessions: In the evenings, we played games, laughed, and built things together. For every mini-game completed in colorful small groups, such as tin can throwing or scavenger hunts, there was a mosaic piece with building blocks. A total of 384 panels were earned over the course of the event and assembled into a large picture made up of over 100,000 pieces. When it was finally complete on the last day of connect, it was clear: never give up until you reach your goal – that's our spirit.
Thank you to everyone who made connect 2025 what it was: a space for encounters, further thinking, and genuine togetherness. We look forward to everything that will come of it.
