Partnerships and cooperations
Together with our partners, we want to drive forward developments in test automation. To this end, we have set ourselves three central goals:

Technical partners
These includes the calibration and data acquisition tool VISION.
With ecu.test, functions of VISION that are used in particular for the calibration and analysis of control units can be used automatically. By connecting VISION to ecu.test, internal control unit variables can be queried and real-time measurement values can be read and recorded. In addition, control units can be flashed and application data can be managed.

ecu.test can be used to automate functions of the INCA application tool, which is primarily used to calibrate and analyze control units. With INCA, ecu.test can access the internal variables of a control unit, read and record measured values in real time, flash control units and manage calibration data. In ecu.test, INCA can also be used for read access to the CAN, CAN FD or FlexRay bus.

Engineering Test Management (ETM) is a collaborative quality management solution that enables end-to-end test planning and test resource management.
Our products ecu.test and test.guide enable the highly automated capture of test results in complex, heterogeneous CI environments and their integration into the quality management solution via export to IBM ETM. Our tools and engineering services ensure that our joint customers receive a solution that combines continuous testing with product lifecycle management.
The combination of the tools creates a powerful, integrated environment for highly automated testing within quality management solutions, especially for ECU development and testing.

By connecting the CarMaker simulation software to ecu.test, realistic driving scenarios can be tested in virtual environments, such as the reaction of the emergency brake assistant to obstacles.
ecu.test uses simulation data from CarMaker (sensor data, vehicle-specific parameters or environmental parameters) for automated, scenario-based tests and logs the test results. Numerous interfaces are available for data exchange, allowing both products and other tools to work together seamlessly. Their interaction enables continuous testing of complex and extensive ADAS/AD projects during development, which can significantly shorten development and release cycles.

Its main solution, Jama Connect, not only plans, controls and documents the entire development lifecycle of complex products, but also manages requirements, risks and tests in real time.
By connecting Jama Connect to ecu.test, requirements management and test automation are seamlessly linked. This means that test case specifications that are managed in Jama Connect can be directly linked to automated test cases in ecu.test, tested and displayed in a traceable way at any time.

The MATLAB and Simulink tools are used in the context of model-based software development for the development of algorithms, modeling, simulation and analysis of dynamic systems.
By connecting MATLAB and Simulink to ecu.test, model variables can be read, written, stimulated and recorded in the test case. In addition to evaluating the recorded value curves in the trace analysis, the test report can be used to check whether the expectations defined in ecu.test have been met. This tool connection not only enables efficient error identification at a very early stage of function development, but also function testing under realistic conditions in real time is a major advantage.

The environment simulation tool CarSim offers methods to model and simulate the behavior and reaction of passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks.
By connecting CarSim to ecu.test, complex driving scenarios can be created and certain driving behaviors can be tested in a variety of ways by changing parameters and environmental conditions. Automated test execution with ecu.test enables development teams to test ADAS/AD functions in particular at an early stage of development.

Windchill RV&S and CodeBeamer are two independent PLM solutions that provide comprehensive requirements, risk, and test management capabilities. With these two tools, hardware and software development processes can be efficiently aligned.
Our tools and engineering services ensure that our joint customers receive a solution that combines continuous testing with product lifecycle management. ecu.test and test.guide enable not only highly automated testing, but also the recording of test results in complex, heterogeneous CI environments. These can then be reused by exporting to Windchill RV&S or Codebeamer. This creates a powerful, integrated environment for highly automated testing in the context of test, requirements, change and product lifecycle management - specifically for control unit development and testing.

The DiagRA® D and Silver Scan-Tool™ tools can be used to collect, analyze, and evaluate ECU data — from classic OBD applications to modern vehicle architectures such as software-defined vehicles. By connecting these tools to ecu.test, diagnostic functions can be automatically integrated into test sequences. ecu.test uses the diagnostic data provided to test UDS, OBD, and WWH-OBD services in a reproducible manner and to document test results in a structured way. This enables consistent, development-accompanying diagnostics and validation of control units.

The Diagnostic Tool Set (DTS) solution allows developers, engineers and technicians to create diagnoses and ensure diagnostic communication along the entire value chain of a vehicle.
Connecting DTS to ecu.test provides access to the diagnostic functions of control units. This makes it possible to read and write data identifiers, execute routines, reset control units and read fault memories.

Each target system is customized to meet specific requirements, such as sample rates and I/O configurations, and can be seamlessly integrated into test infrastructures using Simulink driver blocks, sample models and suitable hardware.
By connecting the Speedgoat targets to ecu.test, Simulink models can be used directly for automated testing in real-time environments. Users benefit from the generic approach of ecu.test, so that tests also run in real-time systems without any adjustments.
