Due to the fact that we are seeking out similar employee profiles for a variety of projects, we keep our postings online over a longer period of time. We hope that doesn’t stir up any confusion. Once we have determined that a job offering is no longer available, we will deactivate it immediately.
No, there is no general deadline for the submission of your application. However, sometimes we may specify one. Here’s a practical rule of thumb: our job offerings are valid as long as they are posted online.
In case you prefer a specific date of entry, please let us know without hesitation. Ideally, you can do that about one month in advance, so that we have a realistic chance of making it happen.
Student job offerings can usually be filled at shorter notice.

Preferably, we would like to communicate via email. Acknowledgement of received documents – sometimes also letters of rejection – will normally be transmitted through this medium. In the event of questions or the arrangement of job interviews, we will most likely and very gladly pick up the phone. After all, when it comes to details, we prefer personal and direct communication. That’s also one of the core principles in our company.
Pretty simple: wear what you would usually wear to feel comfortable. We don’t want you to be someone else while you’re here, nor should you worry too much about impression management. Some people like suits and ties, while others prefer jeans and a t-shirt. There are no limitations whatsoever. Your interview partners will very likely be wearing their everyday clothes, just so you know.

We cultivate an open mindset and communicative company culture, so our interaction is fairly informal overall. Naturally, this principle guides us through networking events, such as exhibitions, but also on our website. In light of your application process, however, we also want to adhere to the general business etiquette and, of course, will address you formally. The change-over to informality will come rather incidentally, especially when you have signed your contract with us.
We want to get to know you both personally and as a potential employee. This is why we usually invite you to Dresden, so that you can meet someone related to your technical interests and one of our recruiting experts for your first interview. If all goes well and the chemistry is flourishing, we will set up another interview with a few more colleagues from your future team at the location you applied for. Please expect all interviews to last about 90 minutes.
You are applying for an internship or student trainee position? In this case, you will typically get to know your future advisor during your interview. Aside from presenting the position and potentially relevant areas of our organization to you, you will have plenty of time to debate your expectations with us, ask questions, or communicate your wishes to us.
During our conversation, we will agree on a time period for giving you feedback. Normally, we don’t take longer than two weeks. Should you need faster feedback from us, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
We don’t generally cover your travel expenses. However, for longer journeys (e.g. when you have the first interview in Dresden), we offer to reimburse your transportation costs at 30 cents per kilometer or we will cover your 2nd class train ticket. Should this apply to you, you may make travel arrangements on your own, or you could ask for our assistance in booking or travel organization in general. Enclosed in the invitation for your job interview, we will send you the travel expense sheet.

Data protection is important to us. Your personal data will be treated exclusively in compliance with the regulations of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Upon completion of your application process, your data and documents will be stored in our system up to a maximum of six months before being deleted. On your first day at work, one of our HR associates will sit down with you and go throughinformation on everyday work activities. We want you to feel comfortable right away, which is why we will have a mentor ready for you when you arrive (although you will be welcomed by the entire team). Your mentor should make the technical onboarding easier for you, but he or she can also provide answers to all your questions.
