The user software developed by TraceTronic concentrates on the automation of test and validation processes during the development of electronic control units. We develop optimally tuned and easy to use tools for test case writing, execution, and analysis. Development of Standardized Tools for Test Automation

The focus within the area of end user software development is the continuous evolution of ECU-TEST and TRACE-CHECK, our established standardized tools for test automation and trace analysis. TraceTronic implements customer specific adjustments when integrating into the respective IT and test environment. Both tools can be linked to your requirement or test management system such as DOORS or HP Quality Center. We also integrate proprietary test station hardware into the automated test process. In addition, we offer planning and realization of alternative database applications for test case and test result management.

Development of Test Case Generators

The demand to create test cases is continually growing due to the increasing complexity of developed functionality. In order to support our customers, who are trying to face this problem, we develop project specific test case generators. Depending on the use case, we utilize either combinatorial methods on parameter sets/test specifications or probabilistic methods on behavioral models or control models of the test item. Combinatorial methods are typically used for tests of interfaces between modules in electronic control units, communication tests (e.g. on CAN bus) or tests of diagnostic functions. Maneuvers scenario and operating scenario generators are examples for behavioral and control models.
