Functionality

TRACE-CHECK supports the user effectively in all tasks and steps of the analysis of measured data. Thereby it contributes significantly to the consistency of the analysis process, starting from the description of reusable analyses for real time characteristics over the creation of analysis packages up to the documentation of analysis results. Despite the multitude of functions and options, TRACE-CHECK convinces by its simple usability.

Analysis creation

For the specification of real time characteristics, reusable analysis components can be created in logic as well as in Python. Arranged modularly, these trace step templates form analysis packages, which the user can reuse at any time. The selection of traces and signals is done graphically.

Analysis execution and report

TRACE-CHECK executes analysis packages automatically and generates structured reports for performed analyses and found errors. Besides textual evaluations these analyses also include graphical plots. During analysis runs, all relevant information concerning the analyses is collected in a log file (report database). Upon completion of an analysis run, the user can view this data directly and generate report documents (e. g. in HTML format) from it.

Integration in ECU-TEST

TRACE-CHECK can be used seamlessly integrated in ECU-TEST. Signal recordings created by ECU-TEST can be analyzed directly using TRACE-CHECK. If TRACE-CHECK is integrated in ECU-TEST, the trace analyses are conducted automatically after the end of the test runs.

Integration to EXAM and further test automation tools

TRACE-CHECK offers due to it’s open software architecture and stable framework the possibility of being integrated to other test automation tools. For example, an interface to the EXAM system was developed, which is widely used within the VW organization. This interface has been included within the standard EXAM distribution since version 3.0. Extended functions for the trace analysis in EXAM are available with the purchase of TRACE-CHECK.
