CECC: Cool Energy Car Communication

Goal of the project Cool Energy Car Communication (CECC) is to save energy during steering and operation of motor vehicles. For this purpose, a communication and information system will be developed, which transfers information about other vehicles (location, distance, speed) and infrastructure (traffic light sequences, lanes) to the car in an energy-efficient manner. Derivable energetically favorable driving profiles will be evolved as concept applications for driver assistance systems. These include the crossing of traffic lights (minimization of downtime via prediction of red phases plus optimization of motor start/stop functions), speed advice as well as stop-and-go assistance. For this, TraceTronic develops, among other things, a framework for the generation of energy-optimized operating strategies.
